Details: I have a part-rebuilt imperial MK-II AUD lathe (s/n AUD-II-19888) for sale, coming under the general category of "I've finally realised I'm not going to have enough time to finish this project....."
I bought the machine a couple of years ago, and it was damaged on the way to me - (never use a pallet courier for a lathe!) - only real damage was to the left-hand gearbox selector lever, which was snapped right off. I bought the very last new one from Boxford, and set about stripping the rest of the machine.
I've now, finally, realised I'm not going to finish any time soon, so I'd rather get the space in the workshop back...
The machine is in good order - I've bought replacement bearings for the counter shaft and the gearbox needle bearings, and new ball-oilers for a couple of places that needed them. No repainting done - some places the paint is fine, others not.
Wear appears minimal on the slides, and the bed is in good condition - only a few minor dings. A spare headstock is also included, which I bought in case I needed any bits...
3ph motor, suitable inverter, low-vo light and transformer included. Original switch-gear also there, but the reversing switch was also damaged in the accident.
Some remaining cleaning, re-assembly and new belts will give you a nice machine.
I'd like £450 for it, including the inverter, which will of course need wiring.
In bits as it is, it's easily moved, and an estate car should take it no trouble, with the cabinet on its back.
Please call for any specific question - I'd very greatly prefer not to split the parts out.

Details: Having now changed my model making interest from traction engines to kit built model tugboats I no longer use this machine so thought someone might like it.!!! It is home made from parts of a Selecta Home Workshop item that you may remember that was available about 50 years ago.Anyway it consists of a verticle column and arm of 1.75" dia steel tubes which I have filled with concrete to give more regidity.The spindle runs in double row ballraces & has a 2morse nose and a drawbar.It is driven via a 4 speed cone pulley from a motor from a treadmill fitted with a split pulley so that the speed (on each step) can be varied by swinging the motor and thus changing the distance bitween it and the driven spindle.If you see what I mean!! The distance from column to spindle is 6" to reach over the cross slide of the lathe which is used as the table.The machine is mounted on the bed in place of the tailstock of course. The whole machine is rather like the now redundant Amolco. As it is homebuilt I think £150 is a fair price. Due to size and weight it would need to be collected but I couldoffer to meet partway for cost of fuel. Anyone interested??

Details: I have had this belting for some time, so its a bit dusty, but unused.
It looks like Fenner, but there is no writing on it. Size is 5/8" wide -16mm-(B section?) and there is nearly 3 metres of it (2.97m) or 117". Too big for Myfords and the like.

Details: I have two inverters for sale. They are CC link FR-E520-0.1KN (0.1kw) They appear to operate from a Mitsubishi PLC link (that's the CC link bit) or probably a computer. You can add an FR PU04 parameter unit and control the inverter from that or indeed have a cable between the PU unit and the inverter if you want to control it remotely. The Snags are the manual is in Japanese and they are 3 phase 240 volt, both of which may be surmountable, indeed the manual is easily obtained on the web. I was going to use them for my suds pumps but I have a better solution now. Useful for the more complicated project if you use the CC link bit. I have two they are brand new and are cheap if anybody wants them. Price is for both if you want one it's £10 you get the other free! Do call to discuss before you buy if you are uncertain as to their use. Ashley

Details: Can anyone direct me to information on small Burnerd Multisize collet chucks. I have a large chuck which takes EC collets for my Harrison (and is great) but I was delighted when I found another identical, but much smaller chuck which I thought would be ideal for my Boxford. However, it only came with one collet. I thought this must be the EA size and bought a part set at Harrogate at the weekend - they're too big!!. The only ID on the collet (apart from the sizes) is the letter "E". The diameter of the collet body at the top is 35mm (compared to the EA collet which is 42mm). Does anyone have information on these small multisize collets or happen to have some tucked away under the bench ( or a cheap EA chuck as I now have a useless set of collets!!). Thanks for reading.

Details: I'm probably looking for the impossible but seems this is the best place to find it. Has anyone got a hand pump (aka water lifter) with approx 11/2" bore and up to 2" stroke? I'd like to fit a larger capacity and more powerful pump in the the tender of my 3" Marshal traction engine where there's not a lot of room and limited stroke travel.The punp handle needs to work in a horizontal(side to side)motion rather than vertical. The one fitted is home made,works ok but watching paint dry is quicker than watching the pump work. OK - I can probably buy one or make one but thought this is the best place to start.I can send a pic or two of what I've got if anyone thinks they may have something of interest.Thanks

Details: If anyone has a Bullows Hydrovane compressor for sale (the one on three legs which looks like a space capsule) I should be most grateful if they would contact me, we at Bradford Model Engineering Society require one to run stationary engines at shows.
Details: I aquired this boiler when I bought the whole contents of a workshop, therefore I know nothing of it's history. It is in good condition, the grate indicating to me that it has not been fired that many times. It's in need of some TLC and a pressue test, the glass on the pressure gauge is cracked, the sight gauge glass is also missing. Overall Dimensions:- Height 13ins, Diameter 6.25ins, The firebox takes up half the volume with the boiler above about 6ins, eight tubes 0.625ins in diameter. The chimney, including base is 20ins high. It weighs 10.5kilos, therefore postage will be in the region of �£25.00. If you are interested, make me a reasonable offer, considering the price of boilers these days.

Details: From my late fathers workshop I have for sale a Leyland Barlow hand shaping machine. I really don't know much at all about this as I have never used one in my life. The photo shows pretty much all there is to see, including the two indexing pawls for the feed mechanism.
Judging by other shaping machines that have passed this way in recent months the price for the shaper is £200. This includes the robust steel angle frame that it sits on.
Given its size and weight it is for collection only. I can help you to load up into your large estate/van/trailer. Collection would be from Histon just north of Cambridge evenings and weekends.
