That was a great programme and much better than I expected. I had no doubt the individuals concerned would be interesting, but so often such programmes are too butchered for mass market consumption to be of much interst to the likes of us. This was a happy exception. It must have been pretty good as 'er indoors watched too.

I LOL'd at PJ's comment about the bike parts in the bedroom, " bordering on outrageous " Bravo!

I caught up with programme last night as well. Really enjoyed it too. Great too put face to comments !  Wonderfully inspiring great to see teams building on a shoestring and those that were better funded and the shots of the machines  at Bonneville what can I say awesome.

the french machine was electric and relied on photo cell charged batteries-mike corbin has gone 180mph on a partially streamlined electric bike-and the record now stands at over 200 for PS-
i,d recommend joining the SCTA and getting a regs book-OR join our new landspeed racing club and come and have a go on PENDINE SANDS

After watching the second speed dreams it has ignited my love of bike speed records.
To see the actual distance the machines have a go at and the mechanical problems they have bring back memories when I was attempting records at Elvington and Fairford in the early 1970's with my blown Triumphs.
They were only short courses compared to the salt flats.
I am 70 now but the thrill I still get watching all you chaps doing what I dreamed of.
To me the team spirit and comrades are priceless.

Watched episode 2 last night here in Vancouver. I use a VPN service which has a similar function to Expat Shield. I pay $8/mo but it's advert-free. Gives us access to BBC, ITV etc so that life can carry on in a sensible fashion!!

Fantastic. I was looking forward to this and it didn't disappoint. As the others commented, the producers did a great job by not trying to be too clever or too much repetition. And the soundtrack worked well. Great to give them the chance to get over there together and have a go at breaking their balls on The Salt. It would be a pleasure to spend time working with any of these boys.

Nice work PJ - and good to see a man with a "proper" sense of humour! Good luck with the duck.
