Details: This is a Tiertime Cetus 3D MkI printer that I bought in 2018. It’s not been used a great deal – perhaps 20-30 hours or so in total. Worked pretty well, although it isn’t enclosed and doesn’t have a heated bed, so is limited to PLA or similar as it stands. It has USB and Wifi interfaces and by default uses the Tiertime slicer and printer control. I retrofitted home/limit switches, rather than use the default hard stop (crash into end stop) method. I also bought a Tinyfab CPU that replaces the original with an ESP32 running Marlin 2.0 – this worked fine and gave lots of control over settings etc, along with LCD display and allows full local control (both included). It’s in its original box with the instructions, spare nozzles etc. Carriage would be around £7 – 12, depending on the courier and delivery time.

Details: After decades of 'collecting', I'm having a thin out of my workshop. This is a very high resolution dividing head - made (I think) from a 'kit' of castings (not by me, I hasten to add) to a very high standard. The headstock has a 3/4" plain bore (with three radial clamp screws) and carries a 60 tooth worm wheel. The single start worm has the usual set-up of handle and dividing plate (with rings of 27, 32, 42, 50, 66 and 78 holes). The unusual feature, however, is that the dividing plate is carried on an arbor that itself has a 60 tooth worm wheel and can be rotated by a knob graduated 0 - 100. This means that 10 turns of the knob rotates the headstock by 1 degree - so the resolution (from the graduations on the knob) is 1/1000 degree! Centre height is approximately 2", but with riser plates to take this to 3.2". Tailstock has a 3/8" plain bore and is, currently, fitted with a centre. Supplied complete with a 3.8" capacity drill chuck on a 3/4" arbor to fit the headstock. Weight is nearly 10 kg for the complete assembly

Details: More items from the back of the workshop cupboard - that never actually did 'come in useful sometime! Firstly, two pairs of parallels, 3/4 x 1/4 x 6". As far as I can tell, these have never been used (one is still in the original 'vapour paper'), the (wooden) boxes are clean (but with a few scuffs from long term storage). BUT - there is some, minor, corrosion from poor storage. They do pass the 'fingernail' test - you can't feel anything running a nail over the surface so, in my opinion, it's cosmetic only. Matching serial numbers within the pair - and sequential between. £15 per set. Secondly, a Moore and Wright No 401 4" square - grade 'AA' (reference). This is the highest quality they made! Note that this is a 'knife-edge' square - the sides of the blade are thinned off - so best used to check squareness, rather than marking out. This is, probably, unused, but has very minor corrosion on the faces of the stock - purely cosmetic, as it's not on the working surfaces. Comes in the original (wooden) box - in excellent condition. £40 Next a 'Compac' - Swiss made - 'lever type' dial gauge (imperial), with a very high resolution of 0.0001" (1/10 thou). Used, but in very good condition and in a very nice (original) wooden box. £10 Lastly, a Moore and Wright No 899W/5 set of 'small hole gauges'. These are of the type that expand two balls into the bore and you then measure over the balls with a micrometer. Between the four, they cover the range 1.59 mm (0.0625, 1/16") to 3.20 mm (0.125 - 1/8"). Excellent condition - possibly unused - in a vinyl pouch and in the original (slightly tatty) carboard box. £20 Postage £3.65 per order (any number of items).

Machines (Large Tooling) Renovate (Complete but not finished)
Details: 2MT horizontal and vertical spindles. Table clocks within 1 thou and very little backlash in the feed screws. There is a complete set of gears for the table feed. Imperial graduations, and flip out feed nut to allow lever traverse (the three levers on the ‘handwheel’ were removed before I got the machine, but I have found that not having these is fine for rapid traverse of the table). Vertical head with quill lever and fine feeds. 2MT. M8 and 5/16" drawer bars. The steel base has been completely stripped and repainted in matching colour. There is coolant equipment with the mill, but I have never used this. Three phase motors - the static convertor that has been used to drive this mill, or a suitably wound Centec drive motor for use with a VFD is available. Accessories - 1” arbor and overarm for horizontal mill, 2MT Clarkson milling chuck with Imperial and Metric collets, stub arbors. I have further accessories, raising block and cutters available by negotiation. I am part-way through rewiring the machine as the original motor control equipment contained asbestos insulation (which has been removed). Cables and switches etc are present but my available time is limited at present. The bottom seal of the quill would benefit from replacement as there is some weeping. I have used this machine over several years and the purchase of a larger mill means that this very capable machine is to go. Easily accessed for collection as immediately next to wide doors and a flat driveway. Was delivered by LandyLift (Steve Cox) and could be placed on a pallet (I have a pallet).
