Use correct sentience formatting rules, a space after the colon: semi-colon; comma, full stop. and exclamation! characters. URL address will use words with dots between the words without spaces and if the system sees these it will treat them as URL links. So please use the preview, it allows you access to the edit button, to change the mistakes otherwise the adverts will just be removed.
NEW! logo after 10 years the tread board needed repainting, if any remember the old Green text logo might remember how the tread patten ended up becoming the background. The photos have also been upgraded to add logo's and date/time stamps to the images on upload so that the photos are noticeable for people linking to them.

Details: This is a set of 9, assorted size, collets for the Pultra 1590 lathe. These are extremely rare! Body diameter is 20mm, with a buttress thread. Overall length is 73 - 74 mm. Sizes are: 0.072" - with the 'double C' marking for Crawford collets. 0.075" - Crawford 3/32" - marked 'Conflex' and 'PTA' 1/8" - Conflex 3/16" - Conflex 5/16" - Conflex 3/8" - Crawford 9/16" - Crawford 1/2" - Conflex All collets are marked on the body '2G'. All the collets have been used (with some showing 'witness' marks on the nose - see photos), but are in fully useable condition.

Details: One of the first examples of a Tom Senior milling machine in full working order. Can be seen running if required. Box of tooling and accessories with machine plus vice. Single phase with lovely old flat belt drive with belt sliders to engage drive and change speeds. Power feed to X axis of table. Power feed requires a v belt.
Details: My Elliott mill has been in home workshop use since the mid 1970’s and has not seen heavy production work. It is an imperial machine which I fitted with 2 axis DRO around 10 years ago. ISO 30 quill taper and power feed on the X axis and power feed to the quill. The head doesn’t appear in the contemporary Elliott catalogue but was apparently made by Olivetti and has a maximum speed of 4880 in high range. In deference to the age of the machine and the work I’ve been doing, I’ve not routinely used the higher speeds. The two speed three phase motor works well in either range running on a rotary converter but I have in the past used a static converter but you’d need to be careful to match the power input if you were switching between high and low motor speeds. The coolant pump died before I bought the machine and I’ve never got around to replacing it and the main defect is the worm that rotates the head is missing. In their wisdom, Elliott made the pinion out of nylon and this one failed early in life leading to its removal from my late Uncles toolmaking business where it started life, to his workshop at home. There is a setting taper dowel with this machine which obviates the need to tram the head perpendicular and for angle work, I’ve set over using an engine crane, or used a sine table. No tooling included and the mark in the bed wasn’t me. Its not perfect but it’s still reasonably tight on the ways and has done some very nice work for me, but I accidentally purchased a newer Bridgeport a while ago and don’t need both machines. I can load onto a low plant trailer if you want to pick up or can possibly deliver by separate negotiation depending on distance etc.

Details: Does anyone have a bicycle cotter pin press they'd like to sell? It's a tool I need for removing and installing crank arm cotter pins on older style bikes. I've uploaded a photo to show what one looks like for those that don't know. Hoping there's going to be someone who has one but doesn't use or need it anymore. Details: Maxitrak Planet 5 inch gauge in very good condition with good battery. This was purchased new from Station Road Steam in May 2020. I have not used it much so it is still in very good condition. There are tiny dings on the black paint on the chassis but these are hardly noticeable from more than a few feet away. Collection preferable, carriage will be about £50 - £100 and many carriers will not carry the battery. I will investigate this if necessary. I can deliver up to about 40 miles from Alton but no nearer London than Guildford please! Happy to answer questions or take more photos if necessary.

Details: Brown and Sharpe dividing head information wanted. I recently acquired this great bit of kit. There is a scale on the sector fingers that doesn't make sense. As you can see from the photos it is marked 0-170 over most of the circle. It doesn't relate to the holes on the plate or degrees of rotation. Details: This is a Concentri Precision Knurling Head' which has been adapted with a split clamped sleeve to fit a lathe tail stock quill. The current split sleeve fitted is 11/16" but can be shimmed to fit a Myford tailstock or for even larger tailstocks it can be bored out a little more or a new sleeve can be made. It's a precision item that enables you to finely adjust the knurling depth. There are two sets of knurls with the head. Minor surface corrosion, which should clean off easily. Price £35 Postage £5.00

Details: This is a pair of crossed slideways (ie two individual slides bolted one on top of another) by 'Unislide' - a UK manufacturer of precision slideways. Each one has a working surface of 4 x 6" (yes, they're imperial sized) with a range of movement of 2" and are fitted with extremely fine leadscrews - 1/2 mm pitch! These are, normally, used in scientific research laboratories for precisely moving optics and similar things - but could, equally, be used as the stage for a miniature, precision, jig-borer - the uses are only limited by your imagination! They're made from aluminium, so, probably, aren't suitable for milling.

Details: Richmond model 01 horizontal milling machine. Table 30” x 8” Single phase motor. 3 morse taper spindle with 1” diameter arbour. This machine is in good overall condition with minimal backlash in the slides. The table surface is in good condition, however there is some galling of the tee slots on the inside edges. Despite this I have never had any problems clamping the vice or workpiece. It has 6 spindle speeds ranging from 45 to 430 rpm.
