More Features

Well we have more features,

  1. Use correct sentience formatting rules, a space after the colon: semi-colon; comma, full stop. and exclamation! characters. URL address will use words with dots between the words without spaces and if the system sees these it will treat them as URL links. So please use the preview, it allows you access to the edit button, to change the mistakes otherwise the adverts will just be removed.
  2. NEW! logo after 10 years the tread board needed repainting, if any remember the old Green text logo might remember how the tread patten ended up becoming the background. The photos have also been upgraded to add logo's and date/time stamps to the images on upload so that the photos are noticeable for people linking to them.
  3. Enjoy your use of the site, stay safe, keep to social distance if you are visiting colleagues to pick up a new toy.
  4. A new guide on the form submission page has been added to help people avoid mistakes they get their advert removed, we are sorry that some adverts are lost due to this but if people do not read, we cannot guide them.

Details:
Please remember that this site is run for the home workshop community by Adam. While some of the rules are pedantic they are there to help members with difficulties, so please read the rules and guides.
Postage at cost.
www.royalmail.com/price-finder
www.parcel2go.com/couriers
www.parcelhero.com/en-gb/courier-services/prices-and-surcharges
If you are willing to post an item, even for cost, that we ask that you give these prices to the viewers so they can work out if it is affordable all worth it. Just putting the you will post it cost them a message without any details will result in your advert being removed, if you choose to give this information it will need to include the weight, width, depth, height and classification. The Royal mail have a price finder on their website, just scroll to the bottom of the homepage to find the direct link to it rather than going through all the advertising their services. There are also quite a few carriers who could take a lot of these items so you can use their webpages or one of the brokers who will find the best deal out of their selection.
Collection, Courier/delivery and Royal mail options
Please ensure that you filling both parts to the courier/delivery and Royal mail options, the system often just deletes forms as they are not complete after a period of time.
Incorrect formatting creating URL links
When you submit the advert it will show you a preview of how the advert will appear, use this opportunity to correct for any unexpected URLs. These are normally because you have missed a space near full stop, a lot of modern browsers will correct your English unfortunately our site does not so check for these yourselves via the preview.
Missing adverts
If you have sent an advert to the site but it seems to be missing yet others seem to have appeared is most likely that the advert is been removed due to failure to comply with the rules. We moderators for some mistakes other times we may just allow it to go through but sometimes we may not. Sometimes you may get a message telling you the advert is been removed but that is our choice and to be honest if we believe you have not bothered to check the preview we may not inform you.
Warnings and threats
We have on occasions been called vindictive for removing the advert for no apparent reason, when quite often it is a very clear failing, that has led to them do not see why they should be held to account. We are not vindictive but we do have the right to choose not to hold your advert. Please also remember that any direct and/or indirect threats whether physical or virtual can involve the authorities, so please do not take it offensively if your advert was removed. You can always contact ourselves and we will try and answer your requests, you may just get an automated message but we have chosen to send that not an automated bot that is just trying to appear that we care, we do care for the site.
