Updates

More Features

Well we have more features,

  1. New formatting codes added to the description field. **Bold** --Italic-- and __Underline__ will be converted to HTML5 codes Bold, Italic and Underline. You can use **__combination__** to give a **--__impact__--**. The codes will work over multiple lines so check with the preview that it is formatted correctly, you can copy the codes to make sure you have the right ones. Abuse will result in adverts being deleted.
  2. New photo upload system that will use the inbuilt camera function of phones and tablets, check the images as you need to correct the pictures if they are not rotating correctly. Bad images will be removed.
If you are getting a blank page with just a logo the images failed. Try using a copy saved to your computer and not a webshare. The server can only use web safe jgp, gif or png images and not viseos. If you see a page with only the logo after uploading the images it faid to upload the photo due to restraints so please used saved images of less than 10MB each in that case.
  3. Web URL links have been updated to allow the newer TLD (Top Level Domains) and allow the number domains. It will now search for the links in the details text adding a https:// to any it finds to help avoid weaker links. It will also pick up typo's like no space after a full stop, so we request checking the preview of your advert and using the edit button to correct mistakes.
  4. Use correct sentience formatting rules, a space after the colon: semi-colon; comma, full stop. and exclamation! characters. URL address will use words with dots between the words without spaces and if the system sees these it will treat them as URL links. So please use the preview, it allows you access to the edit button, to change the mistakes otherwise the adverts will just be removed.
  5. NEW! logo after 10 years the tread board needed repainting, if any remember the old Green text logo might remember how the tread patten ended up becoming the background. The photos have also been upgraded to add logo's and date/time stamps to the images on upload so that the photos are noticeable for people linking to them.

Right good news you the few who was getting blocked for bad characters in their text, Adam was able to find the most likely reasons and removed them from the filter. This now means that the °, ², ³, © & ® are now allowed to be used again. Read the block at the end for the codes as the HTML codes are still removed but Adam will fix them the next time he rewrites the Web3.0 :P

An ID-10t image error with photos are more likely a programming error of a phone manufacture, these are allowing an images with a 45° rotation but are not measuring the width and height on the vertical and horizontal axis. This cause the system to fail and drops the image with the error. It could also be a error on the users part, uploading an unsupported photo because they did not read the instructions.

Update to the fractions to allow the system to use the 3, 5, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36 and 48 values. This may be a bit overkill for this site but was added to a program for other users. In following it will only format valid values and improper values will be ignored.

Details:
The image scripts has been now refined to stop the crashes when users try to upload invalid image types. The system is only able to process GIG, JPEG & PNG file types but some people have tried to upload DOC, ZIP and PDF files. Also trying to sneak a PDF as a GIF will no longer crash the system. The system will junk the upload and replace it with a error image, you then need to edit the advert and replace the missing image or delete it before we will approve the adverts. Click the remove button to switch it to deleting or if you select a new picture you do not need to remove the image first.

I also tweaked the selection backgrounds to show the same colour as the advert notes. Just help you know which colour the advert is going to be.

Details:
Some people have asked what the Item Condition is for. They is no hidden agenda for this just a nice tool for people to be able to sort items For Sale by. The options are just a baseline that allows the greatest classifcation while keeping the list small. If you think they could be a good option to fit a unique situation please let me know.

Brand New (Never used)
This is for brand new items that have never been used but might no longer in original packing cases or coverings.

Old Stock (New but storage spoil)
This for brand new items that also have been stored for sometime and may have marks from that but have never been used.

Excellent (Well maintained)
Items that have been used but are well loved by the owner(s). These are original items that have been keep in excellent condition in uses. Spare parts that are considered original or equivalent have been used for standard tooling wear.

Used (Correct working)
These are again original items that have been used but are in good working order.

Refurbished (Working but repaired)
This is for machines that have needed repairs to being them back into working order. A used item that has been refurbished can often be improved before being returned back into service.

Renovate (Complete but not finished)
Items that are complete, apart minor finishing parts and just need finishing. This may mean that parts still need work to concluded the items but all bigger tasks have been done.

Repair and Spares (To use to fix others)
Any items that are not all present or needs large scale tasks to bring the item back into use. The item may just need parts or might even be a part itself but needs repair. A lathe or likewise item needing tooling is considered complete but missing a tail stock it needs parts, the tail stock is classed as one of the forma options alone.

Multiple Parts (Read the descriptions)
When selling many iitems together you can class them together if you can or use this option if it is included in the description itself.

The options are just a guide to the condition of the items and are not legal, this means if an item is listed as used but is infact refurbished are not inspected by the homeworkshop team so cannot enforce any compliance with rules or laws, we might delete any adverts that we think are misleading.
