Well the government would like to see employers to carry out a risk assessment and I think all companies should show what the are doing to protect their staff. So I am as the owner of a large online classified advert swap site, going to make public the RA report. The fact I don't have to will I hope make people more demanding from the companies that need to do it.

The coronavirus is a biological infectious agent that can transmit across humans and maybe pets. As the team of the home workshop site do not come into proximity of the public they is no risk to the staff. Users that chose to use the site to exchange goods we are not directly involved nor carry out any contact on the virtual site. That said we would prompt all users of the site to assess the risks when you conduct exchanges to keep yourselves protected and safe.

Now what about the warning that you get from the computer that they is a virus on the home workshop site. First, don't trust the internet. Second, the server that runs this site uses policies to actively prevent infection from the site or the data it transmits. We cannot protect the data once it leaves our systems so always protect yourselves.
When end users upload the data or images they are resampled, striping them of extra data that the site does not need, saving them to the database and destroying the original information. If the server see bad data while doing this it will dump the data causing the process to the end user to crash but protecting the server and the users. The hamsters are not harmed during this process as they are virtual, as are the wheels that they fall off when the process dies.

So remain safe and protect the people around you by following the rules, some might be stupid but the virus is not if it spreads.
