Details:
Hi

I posted a request for help identifying some of the items from my late fathers collection of all things Myford - Thank you to everyone who called and especially to Malcolm for coming round to give the ML7 the once over.

So here is the ML7. It is in excellent condition having had very little use in its lifetime. You can still clearly see the grind marks on the bed from when it left the factory - we are 99.99% sure that he never had it reground. My father purchased the lathe new in 1949 (pretty sure it was then - we have the original sales receipt for it somewhere)

The ML7 will come with a 3 and 4 jaw chuck (possibly not the 3 jaw thats currently fitted though, but its replacement will certainly be a serviceable chuck, also a tailstock chuck.

Sorry the photo isn't all it could be - its all a bit tight for space in the workshop!

The lathe can be seen pretty much any time by arrangement and is located in Histon just north of Cambridge. The lathe would ideally have to be collected.

It currently sits on a very robust custom made cabinet with rising blocks and a drip tray. The only thing that it could really do with is a proper no volt type starter and a reversing switch.

I know people selling this kiind of kit always insist that the one they are selling is in excellent condition - but this really is and I would rather expect that the first person to view it will buy it.

I have looked at the prices ML7s actually sell for on Fleabay etc and think that the prices below are very reasonable given the condition of the machine.

I would like £825 for the ML7
and £225 for the cabinet and drip tray

If you want them both I will knock the 'odd' £50 off and throw in the Myford cover.
