Details:
I'm having a 'spring clean' - these have been under the bench for too long, so have to go. They're too good to scrap (but that's what'll happen if nobody wants them) - so they're 'free to a good home' (or a bad one - I don't care!).
Firstly an antique donkey saw (mechanical hacksaw). I got this about 15 years ago, with a view to restoring it - but found a complete (and working) one soon after!
Unknown manufacturer, on an unusual 'trumpet' stand (stand damaged slightly). Everything moves as it should - note that the vice is 'self-centring', one jaw has a left hand thread and the other a right.
Probably originally designed to run from line-shafting (so there's a 'clutch'), it will need a suitable motor and mount.
Secondly, an 'Astra', relatively modern, drilling machine head - will need a suitable motor (and pulley) and chuck (head has a 'JT' taper quill).
Both are free - but must be collected in person from Nawton, North Yorks (about 25 miles North of York).
