All items are for the Myford ML7 or Super 7. 53/8" diameter cast-iron chuck backplate, new, weight 1.4 kg, £20. 41/4" diameter chuck backplate, 31/4" register, 8 off holes (4 off 3/8 BSW, 4 off 3/8 clearance) on 23/4" PCD, weight 900 g, £10. Dore 'Power Facing Drive' kit - this is the aluminium bracket to work the facing mechanism of a Dore boring/facing head. New (though the newspaper packing is dated 1974!). No drawings, but the written description (plus the photos) should be enough to enable you to complete. Weight 1.2 kg, £5 Model Engineering Services 5" fixed steady kit. This is an un-started kit to make a 4-point fixed steady (takes up to 5" diameter work). Full manufacturing instructions and drawings supplied. Details: Bison 100mm swivelling milling vice model No 6537, Current model still available from Rotagrip and similar dealers at an eye watering price. This one however has suffered some abuse at some time, it came with my mill which was from a college and although not worn, some young numpties have drilled the vice base. The previous owner has quite expertly plugged the drill marks with cast iron and it does not affect the use. otherwise in good order with remarkably little jaw lift, reflected this in the price. Part of my great downsizing sale I keep finding things I forgot about, I have far too many vices(!) Heavy at 14kg but can post by RM 48 tracked, might take a few days for me to find suitable packing. There is no handle I'm afraid, collection very welcome.

Details: This Brook Crompton motor came off my Myford lathe when we fitted a variable speed unit the later on I sold the converted Myford lathe so the Motor is now for sale. See photos, she runs smooth, has a 16mm dia shaft, 1425 rpm, 240v, rewired by an electrician and will fit onto your Myford or other lathes etc. Could P&P it at your cost but its heavy. Details: I've realised that I'll never complete all the 'projects' under the bench, so I'm thinning things out. This is an unstarted casting set for the Stuart Turner 'No 1' engine (this is a Henley-on-Thames manufactured set). This makes quite a substantial engine - 2" diameter bore x 2" stroke and a 71/4" diameter flywheel - claimed to develop 1/3 BHP. This was the the first set of castings offered by Stuart Turner and, nearly 120 years later, is still a catalogue item (current list price is £873.60, plus postage £28.80). As far as I can tell, the set is complete. I've checked all the castings against the packing list, all the 'stock' material is there (except that I can't find the sheet of steel for the lagging - but this is simply a 10 x 3" piece of 26g steel). I haven't checked the 'nuts and bolts' - but there's a sealed bag, so I assume they're all present and correct. There's two sheets of drawings - one a GA and the other detailing all component parts. In addition, there are two drain cocks (current Stuart list price £30 each). Offered at under 2/3 of list price!

Details: This is a bound paper by Lt-Col E Kitson-Clark presented to the IMechE in 1927. It details the Kitson-Still locomotive which was part steam -part diesel and was constructed for testing on the LNER. A number of "Still" type engines were built by various companies for stationary and marine propulsion. The idea was not a success as lubrication was a major issue, the mineral oils at the time became emulsified by condensate from the steam side of the engines. With modern synthetic oils the idea may have proved successful. The booklet is in used but decent and readable condition.
